The No-BS Journal
This Journal isn’t about sugarcoating life. There’s no “everything happens for a reason” here, no fluffy affirmations, no pretending I’ve got it all figured out. This is my no BS space to lay it all out my mess, my chaos, my survival. The days when my body won’t cooperate, my mind won’t stop racing, and the world feels like it’s moving forward without me.
This is where I get real about chronic illness, mental health struggles, trauma, and the uphill battle of just existing. It’s messy, it’s raw, and it’s honest the kind of honesty most people avoid.
Here, inspiration meets reality. Education meets raw truth. Awareness meets healing. And yeah… it’s basically my virtual journal, documenting the unfiltered truth of navigating a life that doesn’t come with an instruction manual.
You’ll read about the hard stuff the heartbreak, the isolation, the setbacks no one warns you about but also the wins, the small wins, and the unexpected moments of clarity that remind you: you can survive this, and you can rise from it stronger than you thought possible.
Topics include:
Domestic Violence and Healing – the ugly, the painful, the survival
Living With Chronic Illness and Pain – the days that feel impossible and the wins that keep you going
Reflections – raw thoughts, uncomfortable truths, and insights from the trenches
The Unseen Series – deep dives into specific topics, struggles, challenges, and education so you can really learn, relate, and reflect
This space is for anyone who’s tired of pretending. For anyone who’s felt unseen, stuck, or defeated. Your pain doesn’t define you, your courage to rise does. Step in. Read, reflect, and claim your power.
Thriving not Surviving
Those days when you're just going through the motions, surviving but not really living. When toxic relationships drain your energy, when anxiety and depression feel like unwelcome guests that just won't leave, when you're tired of putting on a brave face while feeling broken inside.
Chronic Illness - A Shift in Self-Perception
For me, living with a chronic illness has transformed my self-perception, reshaping my identity and the narrative of my life as I look to the future.
The First Chapter
Walking away from abuse was not the end of the story, it was the first chapter of a new one. Healing is not a switch that flips overnight; it is the slow stitching together of the pieces that were torn apart.
Exercise - Reflection and Release
Simple exercise reflection and release, Healing wounds - grief as part of healing.
What Chronic Illness Really Looks Like
There is so many hidden struggles faced by those living with chronic illness. While on the outside, we may appear healthy and composed, the reality is very different inside its like a constant battle against symptoms that are both unpredictable and exhausting.
I Remove Myself and Become the Observer
I choose to walk a different path, one filled with self-awareness and empowerment. It’s a journey of rediscovery, where I no longer carry the burden of others’ perceptions or toxic narratives. In stepping away, I’ve learned the value of nurturing genuine connections, those that uplift and inspire rather than drain and diminish
Healing The Wounds
The Awakening, The Rebuilding, and Now, healing wounds we coming into week three. It’s time to move into the healing the wounds. No matter how much you might reassure yourself that you’re fine, there are hidden wounds such as grief, shame, and anger that require attention.
Invisible does not mean Imaginary.
Just because something is invisible doesn’t imply it lacks existence or importance. Consider emotions, mental health, and chronic illnesses.
Healing Isn’t About Erasing the Past
When trauma first enters our lives, it can feel like a heavy chain wrapped around us—clinking with every step, reminding us of what we lost. The weight is real. It bends the shoulders, slows the walk, and sometimes convinces us that we may never move freely again.
Weekend Reflections: A Pause in the Journey
So often, we measure life by what we accomplish. But Saturday and sunday remind us that living isn’t only about doing t’s also about being. About leaning into the small, unhurried rituals that reconnect us with ourselves.
Taking a moment to appreciate
One of the many things I do in my daily, is to take a moment to appreciate moments like this, to be grateful I get to have these moments.
The Body Remembers the Trauma
This is likely the most crucial lesson to grasp: the body retains memories of yelling, pushing, and name-calling. These experiences are stored in a way that is invisible to the eye, deep within the body where the damage has taken place. When trauma becomes trapped in the body, it leads to significant consequences
The side of my life, others don't see
You know, there's this side of my life that most people don't get to see, when people see me out and about, doing things, living life they're only seeing a snapshot of what my days are really like.
Your Identity Beyond Abuse
Discovering your identity after experiencing abuse entails carefully unraveling the layers of trauma and loss to reveal the true essence of who you are. It's a journey of self-exploration and healing, where you give yourself the permission to dream, to hope, and to redefine what it means to be you
How I Manage My Week
A huge aspect of managing my head issues, challenges and fostering healing within my systems meant letting go of rigid structures and routines.
