How I Manage My Week

Living with Chronic medical condtions and a wonkey head

A huge aspect of managing my head issues, challenges and fostering healing within my systems meant letting go of rigid structures and routines. I learned to approach each day with flexibility, as most days are unpredictable and beyond my controlI start my day with a body scan and review my list of essential tasks. and made days to suit and help me manage my week effectively while navigating my symptoms. This approach allows me to prioritize what matters, ensuring that I remain attuned to my body’s needs and capabilities. It’s a gentle reminder that it's okay to adapt and modify plans as necessary, embracing the ebb and flow of each day. I’ve come to appreciate the freedom in going with the flow, acknowledging that some days may require more rest, while others might offer the energy to tackle more.

This journey has taught me the importance of self-compassion and patience, embracing flexibility allows me to navigate my medical conditions and uncertainties with grace, knowing that I am doing my best and that is enough.

It starts with Slow Monday - and yes, I literally renamed Monday because who says we have to hate them? It's my day for lying in bed a little longer, enjoying my coffee, listening to music or podcastt and really listening to what my body needs. I set my intentions for the week ahead, but there's no rushing, no pressure.

Tuesdays became my therapy day. It's when I show up for myself, dig deep, and do the emotional work. Sometimes it's hard, sometimes it's beautiful and there's always coffee with beach views before I go to therapy.

Wednesdays are for yoga - my time to reconnect with my body, to breathe intentionally, to move with purpose. It's amazing how much healing can happen on a yoga mat when you're present and a moment to sit at the beach.

Thursdays are special - that's when I dedicate time for reiki sessions giving others space for healing and self care. It's about energy healing, about clearing blockages. Taking a moment for my own self reiki and been in stillness has taught me more about myself than years of pushing through ever did.

Fridays - They're my favorite. I dedicate them to self-care, to nurturing connections with few ladies from my women's group and movement in the pool No rigid workout schedules ending with soak in the spa
