This Will Always Be My Favourite Coast

This will always be my favourite coast.
Untouched. Unrushed. Unspoiled.
A place where nature still feels like nature not something to be managed or consumed, but something that simply exists.

The seals have their space here.
Undisturbed. Unbothered. Exactly as they should be.
The town feels sleepy and soft, like it’s resting inviting you to slow down with it.

And then there’s the lighthouse, I only ever made it halfway
Two hundred and eighty-five steps.
The worst incline.
The burn in your legs, the tightness in your chest, the wind filling your lungs.

This place holds memories from every version of me.
Not just the happy ones. The real ones.

Even in my darkest times, I brought my kids here.
When life felt heavy and I felt lost, this coast gave us room to breathe.
I shared it with my besties long conversations, laughter, quiet understanding.
And I lived one of my most epic camping trips here laughter and chaos, healing and simplicity, all wrapped into a few imperfect, beautiful days.

Some places don’t just exist on a map.
They live in your nervous system.
They calm parts of you that words can’t reach.
They hold your stories when you’re too tired to carry them yourself.
