Learning to Live Again

Blog Series Becoming Her — Part 7 -Thriving, Not Just Surviving

No one really prepares you for this part

When you move out of survival mode,
you don’t just gain peace

You grieve.

You grieve the version of you that had to be strong all the time.
The one who carried everything.
The one who didn’t have the option to slow down.

She got you here.

But she doesn’t get to lead anymore

Becoming Her

Becoming “her” isn’t about becoming someone new.

It’s about creating enough safety in your body
that you can finally be who you already are.

She is grounded.
She is self-aware.
She doesn’t abandon herself to be accepted.

She knows when to rest.
She knows when to stop.
She knows that her worth isn’t measured by how much she can endure.

She’s no longer living in survival mode.

She’s learning how to live.

Final Reflection

If you’re in survival mode right now

There is nothing wrong with you.

Your body is protecting you the only way it knows how.

But you don’t have to stay there forever.

Thriving doesn’t start with a massive life change.

It starts with small moments of safety.
Small moments of choosing yourself.
Small moments where your body begins to realise…

It’s okay to soften.
