7-Day Nervous System Reset
A gentle 7-day somatic reset for nervous system regulation, designed for low-capacity healing days.
Day 1 — Stop the Noise
Focus: Reduce nervous system load
☐ Lie down often and allow rest without guilt
☐ Lower light, noise, and screen stimulation
☐ Slowly look around and name 3 safe things
☐ Place a hand on your chest and notice your natural breath
Mantra: I am allowed to pause my system.
Day 2 — Safety Signals
Focus: Teach the body what safety feels like
☐ Use gentle pressure (blanket, pillow, hands on body)
☐ Press your feet gently into the bed, then release
☐ Ask: What feels neutral or slightly okay right now?
☐ Avoid analysing symptoms today
Mantra:Safety is something I can practise feeling.
Day 3 — Micro-Movement Only
Focus: Reintroduce movement without overwhelm
☐ Choose one: slow neck turn / gentle stretch / seated sway
☐ Keep movement tiny and slow
☐ Stop before symptoms increase
☐ Rest immediately after
Mantra:I can move without forcing my system.
Day 4 — Orientation & Grounding
Focus: Reconnect body and environment safely
☐ Slowly look around the room
☐ Name 3 safe things you can see
☐ Feel your body supported by the surface beneath you
☐ Sit upright briefly only if it feels manageable
Mantra:I am here, and I am safe enough right now.
Day 5 — Tiny Tolerance
Focus: Gently expand capacity
☐ Stand for 20–60 seconds OR take a short slow walk
☐ Notice how your body responds
☐ Return to rest and pressure input after
☐ Celebrate any small effort
Mantra:I can touch discomfort and still return to safety.
Day 6 — Integration Day
Focus: Balance movement and rest
☐ Morning: orienting + hand on body
☐ Midday: 1–3 minutes of micro-movement
☐ Afternoon: intentional rest / low stimulation
☐ No back-to-back activity
Mantra:I am learning balance, not extremes.
Day 7 — Reset & Listen
Focus: Reflect without judgement
☐ What felt slightly easier this week?
☐ What still feels overwhelming?
☐ What does my body need more of?
☐ Repeat the tool that helped most
Mantra:My body is communicating, not betraying me.
