My Medical Alphabet

Some people collect stamps. I collect medical conditions. Here’s my A-to-Z of chaos, pain, and absolute exhaustion because apparently surviving isn’t enough, I had to get a full alphabet too.

A – Anxiety (my brain’s full-time job)

B – Burnout (not tired… exhausted to the soul)

C – Chronic fatigue (sleep doesn’t fix this shit)

D – Depression dissociation (the quiet kind that lingers)

E – Endometriosis (because one pain condition wasn’t enough)

F – Fibromyalgia, Functional neurological disorder (double feature, lucky me)

G – Gastritis (my stomach chose violence)

H – Hormones (constantly out here ruining lives)

I – IBS (eat? regret it. don’t eat? still regret it.)

J – Joint pain (my body sounds like bubble wrap)

K – Knackered… permanently

L – Low energy (even on “good” days)

M – Migraines (because headaches weren’t dramatic enough)

N – Nervous system dysregulation (always on edge)

O – Overthinking (Olympic level)

P – , posture perception dizzy disorderPTSD (collecting diagnoses like Pokémon)

Q – Questioning my sanity some days

R – Resting… but never actually feeling rested

S – Sensory overload (everything is too loud, too much)

T – Trauma (stored in the body whether I like it or not)

U – Underactive thyroid (metabolism said nope)

V – Vestibular migraines, Vertigo (the room spins, I don’t even have to move)

W – Wiped out (24/7 vibe)

X – X-rays, scans, tests… rinse repeat

Y – “You look fine though” (the classic 🙃)

Z – Zoning out / dissociating (brain just exits the chat)
