The Long bus trip
Investing in Beautiful me
Seven hours on the bus, and my body is definitely feeling it but sometimes slowing down is the safest and most nurturing choice we can make. These days, I’ve learned that rest doesn’t always look like lying still; sometimes it’s simply allowing life to move around you while you sit back and breathe.
This morning’s sunrise was magic golden light spilling across the water painting everything in quiet peace. Trying to capture things along the way through the bus window (not as easy as it sounds 😆), but some moments are meant to be felt, not photographed.
Even as we move toward summer, the mountains are still holding on to their snow a gentle reminder that everything unfolds in its own time. There’s beauty in that balance, in letting things melt and shift when they’re ready.
The weather down here when i arrived was beautiful, the air feels different lighter somehow. It feels like the beginning of a little reset. A chance to rest, to reconnect, to just be.
Sometimes investing in yourself isn’t about doing more it’s about slowing down enough to notice the world around you and giving your body and soul permission to rest.
Reflection:
When was the last time you allowed yourself to simply rest without guilt to let the world move while you stayed still?
